The Netherlands we eat about 1700 tonnes of oysters a year. Their shells usually end up in the trash – even though they are crucial to the ecosystem of the North Sea. As a restaurant, you can be a hero in need: by collecting your shells and giving them to us, you divert number of shells from the waste bin and make sure they are going back to sea. The reefs they form on the seabed teems with life and diversity. By taking shells back to sea, we take care of the North Sea’s health – and of our own too. What we do with the shells →
